El 6 de marzo de 2013, se revel\u00f3 al p\u00fablico en general que el presidente de Venezuela durante los \u00faltimos 14 a\u00f1os, Hugo Ch\u00e1vez Fr\u00edas, hab\u00eda muerto.<\/p>\n
Esto ha causado gran conmoci\u00f3n en todo el mundo, y ha dejado a muchos con sentimientos encontrados.<\/p>\n
Ch\u00e1vez fue un dictador hambriento de poder que manipul\u00f3 a Venezuela y su gente para que hicieran lo que \u00e9l necesitaba, como por ejemplo la difusi\u00f3n del sistema socialista que \u00e9l favorec\u00eda.<\/p>\n
Instituy\u00f3 una reputaci\u00f3n terrible para Venezuela, lo que desat\u00f3 rumores acerca de c\u00f3mo era de miserable la vida en nuestro pa\u00eds. Cre\u00f3 un miedo generalizado, repudio y odio no solo hacia s\u00ed mismo, sino tambi\u00e9n hacia el pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n
Debido a esto, muchas personas se regocijan con la noticia de su muerte, mientras que otros tantos lo lloran, porque Ch\u00e1vez tuvo muchos seguidores fieles y creyentes. Pero la gente no deber\u00eda alegrarse, por dos sencillas razones. La primera de ellas es la \u00e9tica. El hecho de que nadie\u00a0 debe estar feliz por la muerte de otro ser humano. Yo, personalmente, no estoy triste por su muerte. Tambi\u00e9n creo que no\u00a0 est\u00e1 bien estar feliz. La segunda raz\u00f3n, m\u00e1s racional, es que la muerte de Ch\u00e1vez no ha salvado a Venezuela. El pa\u00eds todav\u00eda tiene un sinn\u00famero de funcionarios corruptos, que son su legado. Venezuela sigue en riesgo.<\/p>\n
La muerte de Ch\u00e1vez ha creado una oportunidad.<\/strong> Los venezolanos deben tomar la situaci\u00f3n en sus propias manos, y golpear\u00a0 el metal mientras est\u00e1 caliente. El profundo hueco en el que el pa\u00eds ha sido inmerso, ahora se ha descubierto, dejando un rayo de luz en la distancia. Si el pueblo de Venezuela lucha por\u00a0 recuperar su\u00a0 antigua gloria, lo va a lograr.<\/p>\n Al igual que ha ocurrido una y otra vez, un dictador domin\u00f3 a un pueblo. Por lo general, el pueblo ha sido capaz\u00a0 de devolver el golpe a los dictadores y liberarse de la opresi\u00f3n. Pero a veces, el poder del dictador es demasiado fuerte, y hay que esperar a que llegue el momento correcto. Este es el momento para Venezuela. Todos estos pasados dictadores han ca\u00eddo, al igual que sus legados, que a menudo son m\u00e1s dif\u00edciles de derribar. El dictador de Venezuela ha ca\u00eddo por sus propias vicisitudes. La opresi\u00f3n es d\u00e9bil.\u00a0 El momento\u00a0 es ahora.<\/p>\n A Chance for Venezuela<\/strong><\/p>\n On the 6th of March 2013, it was revealed to the general public that the president of Venezuela for the last 14 years, Hugo Ch\u00e1vez Fr\u00edas, is dead. This has caused great uproar all around the world, and has left everyone with mixed feelings.<\/p>\n Ch\u00e1vez was a power-hungry dictator who manipulated Venezuela and her people into doing what he needed, such as spreading the socialist system that he favored. He created a terrible reputation for Venezuela, sparking rumors about how miserable life in Venezuela was, and creating general fear, disgust, and hatred not only towards himself, but the country as well.<\/p>\n Because of this, many people rejoice at the news of his death, while just as many mourn, for Ch\u00e1vez had many faithful followers and believers. But people should not rejoice, for two simple reasons. The first one, the ethical one, is the fact that one should never be happy over the death of another human being. I, personally, am not sad about his death, but I think it wrong to be happy either. The second, more rationalist, reason is that Ch\u00e1vez\u2019s death has not saved Venezuela. The country still has a countless number of corrupt officials left by Ch\u00e1vez as his legacy. Venezuela is still at risk. Ch\u00e1vez\u2019s death has created an opportunity.<\/p>\n I think that if Venezuelans simply stand by, content with the death of this dictator, the country will fall into the hands of another power-hungry individual, most likely Nicolas Maduro, Ch\u00e1vez vice president and hand-groomed heir.<\/p>\n Venezuelans must take the situation into their own hands, and strike while the metal is hot. The hole that the country has been dug into has now been uncovered, leaving a patch of light high in the distance. If the people of Venezuela fight to reclaim their country\u2019s former glory, they will do it.<\/p>\n Just as it has happened time and time again, a dictator took over a populace. Usually the people are able to strike back at the dictators, freeing themselves from oppression. But sometimes, the dictator\u2019s hold is too strong, and the right moment must appear. This is the moment for Venezuela. All of these pat dictators have fallen, and so too had their legacy, which is oftentimes harder to topple. Venezuela\u2019s dictator has fallen of his own accord. The rest is up to the people.<\/p>\n Still, one should not feel joy for the death of Ch\u00e1vez, but rather, joy for the opportunity his death has created. The opportunity is here. The oppressor has fallen. The oppression is weak. \nCreo que si los venezolanos solo se detienen a observar, contentos y aliviados con la muerte de este dictador, el pa\u00eds caer\u00e1 en las manos de otro individuo hambriento de poder, el m\u00e1s probable, Nicol\u00e1s Maduro, vice-presidente de Ch\u00e1vez y su heredero escogido a dedo.<\/p>\n
